hp camera locking up computer

I just purchased a hp photosmart 735 camera. Whenever I
conect the camera to the computer and turn on the camera
to load pictures onto the computer the computer locks
up. It seems the computer sees the camera because I get
an icon showing the hp photosmart 735 but I cannot do
anything with the computer. I've spent 4 hours on the
phone with hp with no avail. Please help if anyone else
has had this problem.
 
Have you tried setting the acceleration down on your graphics card? Have you looked
into an updated video driver?
 
Thanks Mary looking for a driver update now. Not real
sure how to set acceleration down on graphics card. Can
you help with this???

Thanks all I got my problem fixed. Turned out to be
another program conflicting with my camera software. All
is working well now. Thanks again............
