HP 920c & cartridges

Hi all!
I own a HP 920c and I ran out of black ink. I've put in a new black
cartridge, and seems that I've ran out of color ink, too. I did not buy a
color ink, and the printer keeps flashing... and it won't print. Is it
possible that it won't print without both cartridges? Hope not. Is there a
solution that does not involve buying a color cartridge (that I do not need
right now)?
Please advise.
Best regards,

Do you have a #15 black cartridge? Both cartridges need to be in the printer,
but they do not have to have ink. If you have the correct cartridges try
cleaning the contacts as shown at the following:
http://www.hp.com/cposupport/printers/support_doc/bpa02060.html

You can also tell which cartridge is the problem by opening the lid with the
power turned on. There is an indicator on the carriage that will point to one
of five icons molded into the top of the printer. These icons will indicate
OK, color or black low on ink or color or black problem.

As far as I know the HPs tell you that you are empty but still continue to
function. Did you select black only printing?

Just in case you have never tried this before, you have to set to plain
paper type in order to enable black only printing .

Thank you, I did not know that.
