HP 5650 deskjet ?

Printer has been working great. Today it started printing only sections of
the page. Like on an Excel spread sheet it would print "only" sections
highlighted in Yellow or green. It also does the selective bit on web
pages. I have done the usual. Reboot, turn everything off at the plugs.
No joy. Did a system restore back to 2 days ago when things were working
OK, again no joy.

Running WINXP-home. Printer is using USB. Cartridges are not full but not
empty either.

Any suggestions?

You could run the printer self test (pc not needed)

or you could print a basic color primer page to see which color is empty
or plugged.
