I have reinstaled the software and my scanner still does not work.
After a while the system says scanner not responding.
Now it says it is locked.
Any ideas?

Might "locked" mean that the shipping lock (many scanners have them) is
still in the locked position?

It could be out of lubricating oil. I had same problem with 6300c. After
service (lubrication, glass, mirrors cleaning) scanner works as never used !
