HP 4315 Multipurpose Printer

I'm thinking about buying this printer-scanner-copier-fax but am
concerned about compatability. I am on IE 7 Beta Windows XP SP2 with
DSL & Voip. Will the fax function work with my voip setup???? Thanks

Voip's claim to fame is that it works like your regular phone, so I can't
see why it wouldn't work with the fax function on that machine.

The service's name is VOICE over IP, not Telephone Over IP, meaning the
codecs and the network have been designed and optomised for voice, not as a
1:1 replacement for a phone line.

That said, your VOIP provider likely has options to up/tweak yout service
for fax.
