HP 4300 - line problem

Hi!

I've got a HP 4300 Laserjet that has a unique problem and HP has never
seen this before.

On random print outs, can range from every other one to 1 in 10,000
print outs. We get a black line from side to side(edge to edge).

HP has been here about 4 times (with 4 different techs) for this
problem, literally replacing almost every part in the printer and
their techs saying "we can't fix it, HP will have to send you a
new one".

Long story short - HP won't.

Has anyone EVER seen this problem before?

Thanks for your help! I have a call log of everytime I've talked to
them about this problem if people want information about it.
