I would like to select a group of cells in a column and increase each of them
by 20, how do I do it?
 
Put 20 in an empty cell, copy it, select the cells you want to increase and
do edit>paste special and select add

Since there is no audit trail you might want to do this on a separate sheet
and leave the originals
