How do I increase a group of cells containing numbers by the same percentage
at one time.

Try this...

Say you want to increase the numbers by 5%.

Enter 1.05 in an empty cell.
Copy that cell: Edit>Copy
Select the numbers you want to increase.
Then, Edit>Paste Special>Multiply>OK
Delete the 1.05
