how verify if CMOS/BIOS has boot from cd function enabled?

just enter the bios and look in boot options

cdrom should be listed first

If you have lost your manual don't fret...
just go to the website of your motherboard's mfg and they should have one
you can view of download
(usually in .pdf format)
