For a number a reasons, I have turned of the Automatic Update feature
for Windows, and routinely update manually. Now, however, an annoying
window keeps popping up with "Your Computer is at Risk. Automatic
Update is turned off. etc." Could someone please tell me where to
find out how to turn that window off?

I'm running Win XP Pro.

Thanks

Mike

Hi Mike,

Go to Control Panel > Security Center and on the left hand pane, click on 'Change the way security
center alerts me'. You may uncheck 'Automatic updates' here. It is always safe to keep the automatic
updates turned on so that critical updates reach your computer in a timely fashion and thus reducing
risks.
