My Daughter is getting Powerpoint homework from school at the moment.
The school use Powerpoint 2007 version and at home we have Powerpoint 2003
version.
How can she work on and edit the presentation file she is working on in
Powerpoint 2003 (Home) as well as Powerpoint 2007 (School) without having
to
upgrade my total 2003 office suite ??
We currently use Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003

Of course, if the school has any sense, they don't use the latest file
formats. And if they do, you should complain loudly, because they would be
teaching bad habits to students.

Just make her ensure that the files they are working are in "PowerPoint 97-
2003 Presentation" (.ppt) format and there should be no problems (unless
some features are used that exist only on 2007).
