how to use works 2003 files in word 2007?

I need to know how to use my works files saved on a CD in my new Office word
2007? I am new to the office 2007 program and any help would be appreciated
as they are files I really need.

Word 2007 will open recent versions of Works wps format documents. For older
Works versions you will need the converters you can download from my web
site.
Copy the files from the CD to the hard drive first. Select all the files,
right click and uncheck the readonly property.
