How to upgrade?

Hi
When i am in my home page, i see a message saying upgrade your browser now,
my question is this, how do you know what browser you are using and also what
number it is ie, i read a message saying Yahoo recommends upgrading to the
new,safer Internet Explorer 7 , How do i find out what browser i am using
and what number if any it is.
Please advise very new to computing and very confused.

Well if you don't KNOW what browser you are using then it's a safe bet you
are using Internet explorer. Open Internet Explorer and click on Help-About
and that will tell you. (This applies to 99.99% of all applications.....)

Hi Kenny,

Click the help menu in the browser you are using and then select about, this
will tell you the version you are currently using.
