Doug has provided you with the definition of "field" that you could have
found in Word's Help file. The keyboard shortcut to unlock a field is
Ctrl+Shift+F11, which you could have found in the Help topic "Lock or unlock
a field," which is the first hit when you search Help for "unlock field."
The fact that you want to know how to unlock a field without knowing what a
field is suggests that this is a homework question. I suspect that your
instructor expected you to use Word's built-in Help capabilities before you
asked anyone else.
