How To Un-Install AOL

I am having trouble un-installing AOL because I have
Adelphia Powerlink now so I am getting rid of AOL
software.My problem is it won't let me.I click un-install
from the control panel and Add-Remove programs I click
Remove but then I get an Error window that comes up
saying Send Error report and I do then it closes AOL.How
do I un-install something that won't un-install.Also I
have downloaded AOL again to see if the old un-install
file was corrupted but nothing.Please someone help me.

does aol have a uninstall on their website?
aol keyword cancel

It is generally offered via Add or Remove. Of what they offer online:

Note: Their uninstall works rather well. Have had to use it many times on
older client machines and it finds ALL versions at once.

up reformatting their computer and start fresh without it.

AOL can be very difficult to remove sometimes. On the several
occasions that I have had to remove it, I had to reformat the hard
drive. Also I have dealt with 2 computers that had the AOL virus. It
is not easy to get rid of, due to it screws up your PC royally. Like
the poster above said, you will have to reformat your hard drive.

Greetings --

Sadly, the only practical way I've ever found to _completely_
remove AOL from an operating system is to format the hard drive and
perform a clean installation. It takes a lot less time than
manually removing/replacing all of the Windows system files that AOL
replaces with their own versions and the hundreds of registry entries.

Removing AOL can be difficult at times. I had the same problem with a
pre-installed version. What you may have to do is install the copy of
AOL again in order to set the correct remove parameters in the
registry. Then remove it. That procedure worked for me.
