How to turn off sound from multimedia web pages in IntExplorer but NOT from local e.g. MP3 files ??

Occasionally I am visiting web pages which contain multimedia components
like banner ads and embedded audio which send some annoying sounds and voices to my audio boxes.

I don't want to listen to them. How can I turn off ALL sound from InternetExplorer ?

However: If I play local MP3 files from my hard disc the sound should work.

So the audio should not be turned off completely (!).

1... Click start >> Control Panel >> Double Click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options, on the IE Properties window
you will see these Options:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs
| Advanced.
Click on Advanced Tab then scroll down to:
[#¬] MultiMedia:
[ ] Play sounds in web pages
[ ] Play Videos in web pages
[ ] Play Animations in web pages
Uncheck all the boxes connect with web page sound.

Click [OK] when you done, Hit F5 to refresh and try to see your settings did
take effect.
