How to turn off record locks?

Hello,

I receintly utilized the Book collection database template from the
microsoft website as the basis for a database that I further enhanced. I can
not seem to get the database to turn off record locking. I have gone into the
properties and all seems to be accurate, but only one user can alter the
database at a time. Any assistance that you may offer would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Hi Van,

I suspect that the users do not have full privileges to the shared folder.
Each user needs to have RWCD, in order for the locking database file to be
properly created, updated, and deleted. Please see the following KB article:
