How to turn off Grisoft AVG Anti-Virus Starup Scan

I have been using AVG Anti-Virus on my windows desktop. Does anyone have
any idea how to switch off the "auto-virus-scan" that happens when your
computer first boots up? It really is a drag to have to "cancel" the
systemwide virus scan on EVERY boot. I have looked all over AVG's menus and
can't see how to make this happen. I have disabled auto-scan on startup yet
my machine still starts the tedius "whole system scan" every time I bootup
(which would take 30 minutes to complete)

Well, it's not supposed to do that, you know.
I'd uninstall, reinstall.

Actually, if the scheduler has set a scan for a time when the computer
is turned off, then AVG will run the scan on the next boot. If OP is in
the habit of turning off his machine overnight, this is what is
happening. (The default schedule is sometime around 3:00am IIRC.)

Excellent point.
I hadn't considered that.

Open AVGcc the control centre. Open Scheduler and click highlight the tabled
"test" and click on [edit]. In scheduled time section top, uncheck the "if
missed run at boot... or whatever" and ok your way back out.
