In Windows NT 4.0 there is a "Server" in control panel who can tell you that
on server which file is locked (write/read) by a specific network user.

Is there any tool available in Win2k to provide the same information?
Thanks.

Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management.

Expand the "shared folders" item in the left pane.

Under the shared folders item you'll see an "open files" item

Open that , and you'll seewhat files are open and who has them locked.
