Open Windows Mail

Go to TOOLS

Click on ACCOUNTS

Click on ADD

Click on NEWSGROUP ACCOUNT

Enter 'msnews.microsoft.com' - no parentheses..

Go through list of newsgroups, subscribing to whatever takes your fancy..

My copy of Windows Mail came with Microsoft Communities already added...when
i clicked on it, it retrieved a list of newsgroups...double clicking on them
subscribed.

I literally didn't have to do anything except pick what groups i wanted and
enter my .net info (they still calling it that?)...mail was already setup
for this.
