how to stop playing sound after a few second

Hey everyone,

PPT 2003

I inserted a Windows Media Player sound into my slide. Using custom
animation, I have it set to play automatically after my first click on the
slide. At that point, several objects appear automatically (approx one every
5 seconds). Now, how can I STOP the first song after 5 seconds (i.e.) before
the next object appears? Basically, I want to stay on the same slide and
allow the images to come up on their own. But the current song won't stop
playing until it reaches the end, until I click, or until I go to the next
slide. I want to STOP automatically after a few seconds.

Any ideas would be awesome!

You should be able to select the sound icon and add a custom animation of
"Sound Actions" > STOP

Move to the appropriate place in the custom animation pane and set it to
"with previous" Delay = 5 secs

Does that do it?
