In Outlook 2000 if I hit the X and accidiently closed the program instead of
just a message I could stop the program from closing. In Outlook 2003 once
that X is hit the program closes and every piece of mail I have open. This
is very aggravating -- espeically when I am working between messages or
have left several emails minimized so that I may eiher answer them later or
act on them later.

This did not stop anything from closing. The qeustion did not display at
all. Everything that was open was closed and then the program clsed as
always. When I restrarted the program, the unaddressed message is still in
my out box.

Still looking,
Audrey

You didn't do something correctly because it does work in Outlook 2003 - I
use it. Also any opened messages you are composing should also pop a dialog
asking if you want to save the copy and canceling should stop outlook from
closing.
