How To Stop Outlook 2003 From Auto Start?

I have WinXP SP1 and Outlook 2003. I also have Norton Antispam integrated
into Outlook. Whenever I turn on my PC (laptop), Outlook starts
automatically in the background. Problem is, Norton Antispam won't load in
Outlook if I click on Outlook. I have to first go to Windows Task Manager and
end task on Outlook and then open Outlook for Norton Antispam to load
properly. This is annoying because I have to end task on Outlook everytime I
turn on my PC before I can check my e-mail.

I looked in my startup programs folder but Outlook is not listed. I
downloaded a free utility called Startup Control Panel (to try to disable
Outlook from auto start) but Outlook is not listed in any of the Startup
Control Panel's startup program tabs.

I also use my PC to sync my Outlook contacts/calendar with my Pocket PC PDA.
I have MS ActiveSync on my PC and it starts automatically when I turn on my
PC (even when my PDA is not connected to the PC). Not sure if MS ActiveSync
is causing Outlook to auto start.

Bottom line is, I don't want Outlook to auto start until I choose to click
it open.

Well ActiveSync syncs with Outlook. So when you start ActiveSync to sync
your PDA it will also start Outlook otherwise it can't sync with Outlook.

Is a Pocket PC cradled when you start Windows? If so, it could be active
synch doing a synch.
