How to stop logging some events in evenviewer

Hi.
I have an application (Filemaker5) running on my W2k server that's logging
everything it does in event viewer-application.
Is it any way to hide some of the entries that it writes to the event
viewer? Maybe in the registry, by source or category?
To just make a filter is not helping me in this case.

Ask the application developer.

They say it can't be done in the application.
That's why I wondered if it can be done in windows, maybe in the registry.

No, not possible through regedit. The application would need to be altered.
The application is responsible for the entries in the application log not
the operating system. In other words they're blowing smoke.
