Sometimes I will click on a hypertext link while using
Internet Explorer and this causes a new link to be added
to my Favorites menu and sometimes even a registry entry
will be added to my computer. How can I prevent this? I
already am running a virus checker but it doesn't stop it.

An antivirus program will not prevent security breeches or the
perilous addition of spyware to your PC.

To secure your computer and prevent future security breeches,
consider installing a first-rate internet security program:

-- Includes Norton AntiVirus 2004
-- Includes Norton Personal Firewall
-- Includes prevention of annoying web pop-ups
-- Includes Parental Controls
-- All in one, easy-to-install package

Thanks for the reply but I am more interested in
preventing files and registry changes being added to my
computer rather than removing them after they occur. I
already use Spybot and Adware and a firewall. But none of
these applications stop a web site from making the changes
I described which is what I really want. Is there a
security setting for Internet Explorer I can use to
prevent these things?
