Can you please describe the symptoms of the crash? Whether your computer
just dies (shuts down) or gives some sort of blue screen?

I am also on this group with the same problem...after a
random amoutn of time usually around 40 minutes no matter
what apps are running or what i am doing the whole
mahcine totally locks up and freezes dead. I have tried
disabling/uninstalling numerous apps such as AV and
firewalls but to no avail! My machine is AMD Duron

Hi Frank !
Thanks for the reply.
I don't understand why such things happen? My PC stops responding and hangs
suddenly.
It crashes anytime after 2 min, after 2 hrs or like that.
I tried to Update XP but it could not finish 3 times.Everytime I have to
restart downloading but was unsuccessful.
May be sometimes when my son plays games it hangs.
My PC is new and I installed all prog first time.Even I tried uninstalled
last couple of new progs and then also the same things happened.I'm fed up
with this.
Is that hardware configuration problem? But there no conflicts in system.
I contacted my Vendor and he says there might be s/w clashes.
Pl help me and suggest me any solution.
Thanks.
Anil
