From my contact list (or any sub-lists) I have the Company name listed. When
I ask for the Address Book for that section, I cannot get it to display the
Company name. It just shows me the Contact person's name and e-mail. If I
want to send an e-mail to a specific company and the contact person is not
relevant, I have to drill down, or rembmer who that contact person is.

Anyone know how i can add this field to the Address Book window?

I am using 2003

Thanks.

The format of the display shown by the Address Book is immutable.

As a work-around, group your Contacts by company. That will allow you to
locate those entries better and you can send a message from the Contacts
folder by selecting the recipient (or group) and clicking Action>New Message
to Contact.

Turn on the advanced toolbar and use a different view, Address cards is
the most useless for manipulating the data.

For example, try Phone List view and then use the Group By box to group by
Company.

You can also instantly go to a Contact through the Contact Lookup window
in the Advanced toolbar - it's a white window in the toolbar that says "
type a Contact to find" it will look up by first or surname. It is very
erractic at looking up by Company - so don't rely on that!!!

Everyone - turn on your Advanced Toolbars and learn how to use the Field
Chooser and Group by Box!!

My question was when I start to compose an e-mail and after clicking the
"To..." , I get the pop up box of Address Book selections. In THAT BOX, I
cannot find the field for Company name. They are all listed in my Contact
files, but WILL NOT show in the pop up box when I am in the window to compose
an e-mail. I only can see the person's name (not company name). I am okay
with changing the view in the Contacts file, but this still does not show the
Company name in the pop-up box.

Any suggestions?

Start from the Contacts Folder. Select the people you want to email (or
invite to a meeting, or Task,) and drag them to the Outbox ( or Calendar, or
Tasks folder).
