how to share a moden connection VIA VPN

Server: Win2k sp3(en) server
Client: Win2k sp3+

at the server side:

after Configure and enable the Routing and Remote Access,
and set the type manuaully, with Remote Access and Routing....

in the Routing and Remote Access Manager:

at the Routing interface:
right click on blank, and New Damand-dial Interface....
input name as WAN..
select connect useing a moden
and select he moden, phone number, Route IP ..., user/password , and finished.

when try to connect he newly created interface,
when the moden is not connect to the ISP, the error message is The connection failed because the moden(or other connect device ) was not found
when the moden is connect to the ISP, the error message is The PPP link control protocol was terminated!

so, how to solve this problem?

Are you able to create a single dial out interface (Properties of My Network
Places) and dial and connect that way?

If you are able to then the physical aspect is probably cool, and rras is
behaving badly (possibly). Try and other dial out, and let us know.
