I need to provide assistance to XP clients. I am running W2K server. I
do not want others to provide assistance to my system. I believe I need
rcimlby.exe to process the assistance invitations. What do I need to
install to get this functionality.

Thank you for your help

Hi

I'm not sure what you mean here. Do you want to run Windows XP Remote Desktop
from your W2k Server? As far as I know, that is not possible.

Hi, there are many posted questions regarding the same subject but nobody seems to know the answer!!! not even the question... :
In a LAN with a w2000 server and winXP clients, the admin wants to be able to remote assist XP users when they ask the dministrator for help with their XP desktops.
The clients send remote assistnce invitations to the adminstrator who wants to help them from the win2000 Server.

Remote Assistance was built for Win XP, but it must be some trick to make it work between win2000 and winXP. Let's see if anybody has solved the problem...

Thanks...
