How to set up incoming Outlook emails to go to specific folders?

I have emails from several groups that come into Outlook 2003 on a daily
basis. To separate them from the rest of my emails, I would like to direct
each one to its own Inbox or folder. How do I do this?

How do I do this?
Setup a rule to recognize the email address from which it comes and
move it to the desired folder.

Q. = What do I move to the desired folder? = the rule or what. Sorry - but
your answer is unclear. Thank you . . .

Some of would appreicate how exactly to set up such a rule. I know how to
find the ability to set up rules, but it is unclear what one specifically
does at that point

Thanks

(Meg, it seems we have the same problem)

Yes -- I agree with fred646 = we need a much more specific answer to how to
set up and use 'rules'. Thank you . . .

Meg-

I think I found the answer, but havent actually done it yet.

go to Tools, then Rules, then create new Rule.
then go to Create a New Rule from blank.
You wee see choices and click the box for 'specific words in the
reciepient's address.
then, below, assign it to go to a folder.

......and they say computers make life easier!

......and they say computers make life easier!
But nobody says making them make life easier was easy. Glad you found
the process. One problem with experts answering these kinds of
questions is that we no longer see those problems of choosing the blank
rule, etc. It just happens with no thought involved.

I'll be watching, though all this holiday stuff is getting depressing, and the
wife is dragging me off to do shopping all the time. I'll be somewhat sporadic.
But then again, I'm not getting any real work done.

HI Hollis ~ I appreciate your being willing to keep an eye on this problem.
I tried redoing my rule to move a daily newsletter I receive Mon. thru Fri.
into the folder with its name on it -- did it a couple of days ago. Being
Christmas, the newsletter will not appear till probably tomorrow, Tues.,
12/27 so I won't know for a few more days whether I did the rule correctly so
that it will work for me. Thank you for your patience -- A Happy New Year to
you (hope the shopping has dwindled down, or even stopped!!). Thank you ~ ~

It is a easy job to move the email from different group to a specified
folder. I received thousands of email from different groups. and the rule is
not enough for me to handle it. Now i need to write a program to do the job
for me.

If anybody needs help please send mail to (e-mail address removed) or
