when i launch applications, it launched in "minimize" mode. I have to
maximize the windows most of the time.
I found a way to do it for those at quick launch bar, however not for
general.

Anyway to launch "maximize" as default?

There are actually three settings: normal window, minimized (hidden
on the task bar) and maximized. The default is normal window, which
is almost certainly what you're getting.

The usual workarounds are to set the application's shortcut to open
maximized and use that, or click-and-drag a normal window's corners to
make the window as big as you can and then exit the application to
save that window size for that one app.

To do what you want, I recommend that you try
