How to set fonts for text boxes in templates

Athena

Hello,

I created a template with a theme, font, header, footer etc. Everything
I put in placeholder has right format. But if I place a text box in the
slide, the fonts of the text box is different than I want. How can I set the
fonts, colors, etc. of the text boxes etc. I will place in slide in the
template so that when I create a presentation based on my template
everything would be OK?

Thank you,

Athena

Format a "manual" textbox the way you want, then right-click and choose Set
Autoshape Defaults.

This will probably make your autoshapes invisible when you add them, so to
resolve that, add an autoshape and give it a line and a fill, then
right-click and choose Set Autoshape Defaults again.

Thank you Echo. I had chosen Flow as my theme. It turns out this theme has
Calibri font for header, and Constantia font for body of the text. That's
why when I copy some slides into an empty presentation with my template, all
the texts were in Constantia font. I do now how to change the font of the
body? I set the font of the placeholder and the header to Calibri. And I
thought that that's all. It seems there is also font of the body text! Your
solution works if you create new text in a presentation.

Ah, you are talking about something different than I was, then.

To change the header and body fonts in a presentation (or in the theme or
template itself), go to Design | Fonts | Create New Theme Fonts and specify
a heading and body font. Objects set to use the heading font (like slide
titles and such) will use the one you specify for heading. Objects set to
use Body font (usually bulleted slide text and the like) will use the one
you specify for body.

The "heading" and "body" fonts are a new feature in PPT 2007.
