How to set/change default fonts in Word XP ?

A

Admin

I have a problem with Word XP, fonts keep changing back to 'Times New
Roman' whenever I am working with a document with non-default fonts.

I am using Office XP Pro SP3

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The default font of any paragraph is determined by the paragraph style (see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/DefParaFont.htm). You can change the
default font for a document by modifying the Normal style (on which many
other styles are based). If you click the "Add to template" button, you will
have changed the default font for all new documents based on that template.
If the template is Normal.dot, you will have changed the default font for
all new Blank Documents (but there is an easier way to change the default
for Normal.dot; see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/CustomizeNormalTemplate.htm).
