how to send messenger service

How does one go about sending a message by the use of mesenger services
I see hear that everyone is looking for a way to stop these pop ups but I
would like to know how to send one.
Just want to know for my own knowledge I do not want to really be sending
these out like the spammers do.

Greetings Don,

You can use the "net send" command to send these messages. To do so, click the Start button,
then click Run, and enter:
net send computername themessage

Where the computername is the computer name of the person you're sending to, and themessage
is the message you want to send.
