It would be much easier if you provided a URL (with clean HTML) rather than
requiring speculation on numerous possibilities.

Some common mistakes by Word users when creating web pages?
1) Using Word to do something that it was NEVER intended to be used for.
2) Inserting images with invalid file path statements (a.k.a., Red X's)
3) Not creating a directory structure on your local machine which duplicates
the directory structure of your website; then; creating your web pages and
image links from this previously mentioned directory structure (a.k.a., Red
X's)
4) Not turning off the many unnecessary web options in Word configuration.

Nobody may assist you until you understand the basic's of creating web
pages:

Since Word was never intended to be used as a primary tool in creating web
pages, it does not contain procedures and instruction with that task in
mind.

Here are some beginner links.

When you save a Word document as HTML, graphics (including WordArt) are
extracted from the document as separate files (usually in a supporting
folder); these files (the entire folder) must be uploaded along with the Web
page in order to be displayed.
