How to save outgoing messages on IMAP server?

Folks:

In Outlook (2003), what do I need to set so that outgoing messages are not
just saved on user's local machine, but also (or instead) are saved on the
IMAP server in (say) an "Outbox" folder, (so that the user can view those
messages regardless of which client they're using).

Thanks,

Graham

Click Tools>Rules and Alerts>New Rule>Start from a blank rule>Check messages
after sending>Next>through the specified account (with "specified" selected
to be your IMAP account)>OK>Next>Move a copy to the specified folder (with
"specified" set to the IMAP folder you want)>OK>Finish

Just curious in reading your reply. Will the copy that gets moved to
the specified folder be in a local folder in the IMAP message store
for the e-mail client (Outlook) or will it actually get sent up to the
IMAP mail host to get saved in an online folder in the IMAP account?
Seems that the rule is executedly locally by the e-mail client which
means the copy is still saved in the local message store and not up in
the online account.

If the local rule results in saving a local copy into a different
folder, it seems the OP would need to Bcc a copy to himself and use a
server-side rule to move it upon receiving that e-mail to himself into
a different folder but that would be an online folder because a
server-side rule was used.

Is the message store shown in the tree list for an IMAP account
showing a local message store or the online message store?

The IMAP folders are a cache that reflects the contents of the server
folders.

Yes to both.
