HOW TO SAVE FAVORITES LIST?

MY LIST OF FAVORITES DISAPEARED LEAVING ONLY THE DEFAULT
LISTINGS. I CAN ADD BACK MY OWN FAVORITES. AFTER
SEARCHING EVERYTHING LONG AND HARD I CAN NOT FIND
INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO SAVE THAT LIST IN CASE IT DISAPEARS
AGAIN.

Have you changed the log-in 'USER' name? If so, you have created a
different directory for the 'Favorites'.
If you are using 'Explorer 6', go to the 'Favorites' directory at -

C:\Documents and Settings\USER NAME\Favorites

you should be able to select all the contents of any user 'Favorites'
directory, and copy them to other user's 'Favorites' directory.

File> Export to create a backup.
File> Import to bring those backed up items into IE.
