How to save a regular address and use again in another document

I'm using word again after many years. I used to be able to highlight and
save using Control and ? (can't remember), say a client's name and address
and save it using their surname and then bring it back again another time
using Control and ? (can't remember) and the first few letters of the surname
I saved it under. I used this system to save Yours sincerely's etc too. Hope
this makes sense to someone out there!
