I accidentally caused my sesktop to rotate 90 degrees, but do not have a
clue as to what keystrokes caused this to happen. It was just as if I
tilted the entire monitor over on its side. Perhaps some kind soul will
enlighten me - I'll be grateful.

Hi,

Right click the desktop, choose properties. Click the settings tab, click on
advanced. Rotate properties are generally found here. On some laptops, there
are Fn key combinations that also accomplish this - check the owners manual
for the appropriate keys.

Ctrl-Alt-Up Arrow should restore it.
