how to roll back user acct. from limited to admministrator

By mistake I have chagned my user acct. from adminstrator to limited without
creating a new administrator. As such I could not have full administrative
rights. Even I can create new user acct. as there is no such option after
this change. I have tried all processes known to me including DWORD in
registry but I have been refused saying I do not have administrative rights.
Pl.suggest how can I roll back from limited to Administrator again.

For XP Pro, press CTRL-ALT-DEL twice at the Welcome Screen, with no users
logged on. You'll get the older style Windows 2000 logon dialog. Enter
Administrator and any password that you may have set up on the default
Administrator account. If you're unsure, just try leaving the password
blank.

For XP Home, boot the computer in Safe Mode (see Help and Support). The
built-in Administrator account will appear on the Welcome Screen.

You forgot to tell us what version of XP you're running.

You'll need to log into the built-in Administrator account. In XP Home, boot
the computer into Safe Mode. Do this by repeatedly tapping the F8 key as
the computer is starting up. This will get you to the right menu. Navigate
using your Up arrow key; the mouse will not work here. Once in Safe Mode,
you will see the normally hidden Administrator account. The default
password is a blank. Log into this account, go to the User Accounts applet,
and make your desired changes.

In XP Pro, you do not need to go into Safe Mode. At the Welcome Screen, do
Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in
"Administrator" and whatever password you assigned when you set up Windows.
