How to rid the .NET Passport pop up?

Would someone please tell me how to stop this .NET Passport pop-up?

In Windows Explorer, everytime I click into one specific folder of my F
drive (non-booting slave hard drive), a pop-up appears. It's "Sign In with
Microsoft .NET Passport". It's a dialog box asking for a sign-in name and
password. I can cancel but every time I re-enter the folder it does it
again.

I imagine something in this folder is triggering the pop-up. I have no files
in the root folder, but many subfolders with files.

What's weird is it only does this when view is set to thumbnails.

I don't care anything about .NET Passport and don't use it that I'm aware
of, so I don't mind torching the whole thing if need be.

Any ideas?

In one of the archive folders within the root folder I found the famous MSN
butterfly icon, which was a shortcut to "My MSN Mail" (or something like
that). So, I just had to kill the butterfly. No more pop-up.

Life's better without the butterfly. <g>

Thanks.
