How to Retain Font in AutoText and REF fields

G

Guest

I've a situation where MS Word 2007 doesn't act as I'd expect. I've created
autotext entries that are referenced by form templates with AUTOTEXT and REF
fields. I'd expect the font format of either field to be consistant with the
data.
However, it seems when a space is encountered, or the data is too long,
formatting such as bolding, fonts, etc. will change frmo one word to the
next. Please advise.

Always copy the Paragraph (Pilcrow) which holds all formatting for your
paragraph when saving the autotext. This may help.

If you want to maintain the formatting at the insertion point, add a
\*CHARFORMAT switch to the field (in place of the \*MERGEFORMAT switch (if
any).
