prior to posting, I attempted to repair using TweakUI
(
http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/PowerToys
/Networking/NTTweakUI.asp)
but had no success. I can not find Recycle Bin displayed
as an option at the Desktop tab or any place else.
I soon will attempt the procedures described as
Method 2: Edit the Registry to Restore the Recycle Bin in
the document: "Recycle Bin Does Not Appear on the Desktop"
(
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;810869)
and would inquire whether you have any experience with
these procedures. Note: the procedures are billed as
being applicable to WinXP (Win2000 is not mentioned).
