how to reset IE as default browser

can anyone please tell me how to reset IE as the default browser?

[Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs >] Set Program Access and Defaults >
Browser: Select "Internet Explorer" here.

IE-Tools-Internet Options-Programs.
Check the box "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the
default browser"
Close IE and reopen it.
