Hi,

Just bought a tablet to enter handwriting for foreign language
recognization. The tablet is having problem installing drivers because of
my previous (old) tablet's drivers is still there.

I believe the only way to remove those unused drivers out of XP but how?
The driver installation always goes to a list of old drivers to choose
from...

Thanks for any tip.

See the help entry on "Update Driver"

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the device, Properties, driver tab.

First Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device Manager and take View -
List hidden. Highlight the old device, Action - remove.

Then do *not* let New Hardware search for itself. Take the options to
end using a list, and if the new device does not show, use 'Have disk'
to browse to the relevant .inf file provided on a disk that came with it
