How to remove program shortcuts from Start menu correctly? (program was
designed as single executable which not required installation, but place all
its file in windows Start directory, and create shortcuts there to launch
program). According to removal instruction, its necessary navigate program
folders from Start menu to remove it. Done, but program name and second
level submenu still remains in Start menu. I removed third level submenu
folders.

thanks

Hi

If you just want to remove the shortcut, right click on the icon and select
'Delete'.

You can delete individual shortcuts, second-level folders, third-level
folders, etc. as you wish. It's entirely your choice.

Right-click on the Start button and choose "Explore All Users". That
will give you the familiar two-paned Explorer window. From there you
can delete, copy, move, etc. any of the Start Menu items you like.

Program subfolders and folders where located in C:\Documents and
Settings\User\Start Menu\Programs\Program name\First subfolder\
I removed it. Is this correct?

I really don't know without looking at your machine. I've never heard of
a program that installed its executable in a Start folder and ran from
there. Normally the Start folder only holds shortcuts, as does the
Start Menu.

You should probably contact the program's tech support for
clarification.

Yes

if this somehow doesn't uninstall it properly. You can reinstall it and
then uninstall it as they recommend.
