How to remove multiboot?

G

Guest

I would like to uninstall one XP Home from a multiboot system;

Help & Support indicates Add/Remove -> Select "Windows XP" click Uninstall ;
however Windows XP does not appear in the installed programs list.

C: (system) XP that I want to retain (and it is all setup the way I want it)
D: (boot) XP that I want to uninstall ( and change this to an active
(non-boot) volume )

Delete and Reformat the partition on D: is an option. I've transferred my
data from D; however I want to assure that the multiboot information on C: (
in the boot sector? ) is also removed.

Just want a vanilla XP Home installation on C:
Thanks in advance

This is THE most-asked question in this newsgroup.
Try groups.google.com . Bottom line: Simply delete
the unwanted OS at its root - the WINDOWS folder.
Touch up the remaining partition's boot.ini file to
remove the dual-boot option.
