When you go to Windows Update website, you can check the update
hsitory. How do you to remove entries in Windows update history? There
were some updates that didn't install pproperly and they are indicated
there. I just want to remove them.
You can't edit the history shown on WU. You *can* delete the entire
history if there's an issue related to the file that stores it.
Or, you can print it out and then use a thick felt pen to edit it. <w>
To delete the history shown on WU you need to stop the AU service and
BITS, if it runs automatically on startup.
Start > Run > type in and click OK or press Enter after the following
het stop wuauserv
net stop bits
Then show hidden files, folders, and system files:

Next, navigate to WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore
Delete DataStore.edb
Restart the system and the 2 stopped services will Start again, or
net start wuauserv
net start bits
Sorry, that's all the editing that can be done with the history shown on WU.
