How to remove computers from Mshome?

I have a few computer on the network, some are no longer existing (eg changed
computer name) but their icons remain on the network. How do I remove them?

Are they in My Network Places? Right click on the icon then click on delete.

The computers are listed under:
My Network Places > Entire Network > Microsoft Windows Network > Mshome

When i right click on one of the computers, the options are:
-Expand
-Explore
-Open
-Map Network Drive (greyed out)
-Properties

It can take quite a while before the browser list updates itself. I wouldn't
rely on browsing the network for reliable results. You could try shutting
down all the computers then restarting them.
