How to remove an autoexec macro in Access-MDB file doesn't open?

I created an Access application. After I created an autoexec macro so that
the application would start with a form. I closed the application and cannot
open it again, even with the "Shift-key" pressed. Please help if you have a
solution for this problem. Thanks.

1. Open Access and tell it to do a compact and repair on the problematic
..mdb

2. if that fails, import the objects into a clean and empty database.

Bob,

I have the same problem but have not found a way to do this. How do you
suggest doing 1 and 2 if the file won't open?

Thanks!

What version of Access?

Did you use code to disable the ByPass key (holding down shift-key during
startup)?

Is there a lock file present in the same directory as the database? (same
name as your database with an .ldb extension and 1 or 2 k in size). If so,
can you delete the lock file?

Did you implement security on the database?

Something to try: Open a NEW database, use the File: Get External Data:
Import menu item to import all objects (except the autoexec macro) from the
existing database.

Last Resort: Do you have a backup of the database?
